So I was going to post a picture of the new toddler quilt I'm working on but I haven't gotten the layout just right yet. I thought I had it but not quite right yet.
Also, for those of you keeping track, one of our Carrie's gave birth on Monday. A boy of course (3 Carries, all were pregnant, all with boys). 8 pounds and 1 ounce and after only two and a half hours of labor. Nicely done! Again, I have no photos. I know, I'm horrible! He looks like a tiny old man. Very cute! So next time I see Carrie I'll bring the camera! That's all I got for now... With a little bit of luck, I'll get the quilt all laid out and the top put together and then I can get a picture going. Plus, the sooner I have the toddler quilt out of the way, the sooner I can get started on my other two.

The votes are in...

So most people voted via phone... not sure why. The winners... the leaf quilt and the swirls were pretty even and since I have so much fabric, I think I'll make both. While I was waiting for the votes to trickle in, I finished the toddler pink/green quilt and started another toddler quilt. I have to get some filler (cream colored) material for the leaves. I'm going to use the bold colored earth tones for the leaves and maybe make it a full/queen. So that one is going to take me a while. The swirls will be a little easier. I'm going to use the pinks and make a girl's twin size for that one. It's the fabric that I have both a charm pack and a jelly roll of. I figure those will take me a while to finish. We'll see how motivated I can keep myself through the rest of summer.

finished toddler quilt...

I'm so proud how this turned out. This is my first go at this type of trim. Normally, I turn a toddler quilt inside out and machine sew most of the edges together and then flip it right side out. I'm pretty sure this is cheating the in the world of quilting but it gives me nice edges to work with.
